BEYOND COLOR

The beautiful Mulatto girl Gabriela suspects she may be pregnant. Pressured and pushed away by a socially prominent family amongst a backdrop of taboo relationships, Gabriela is faced with hard choices to make.

Gabriela eventually manages her escape; the much-heralded journey West, to a better life. The way would be fraught with peril, but along with her twin daughters, Gabriela is determined to make this pilgrimage to LA. There they must somehow rebuild amidst the many lingering questions of ethnicity and betrayal.

For her daughters, who are often perceived as white,  Gabriela teaches them always that that they are Beyond Color.  Through varying paths in life, often presented with tragic circumstances, Gabriela and her family would grow-up; would face hurdles and issues concerning both past and future, and would come to know the true meaning of family.

But--Most of all, when love calls, will Gabriela, still very much young and productive, back off --the way she always does-- or will she step out on faith this time--long enough to allow a man in her life again....?
