I KNOW A WOMAN

I know a woman who stands tall and straight

like towering pines on a mountain side

endowed with inner strength charm and dignity

I know a woman

whose smile can warm your heart

whose gentle touch brings comfort

her words always inspiring

she keeps going when everyone else gives up

I know a woman

who gives much of herself

without being asked; she is an earthly angel

peace-loving, caring, a joy to all around her

I know a woman

whose endurance is legend

her hand–like the hand of God

doing, giving, praising

her mere presence makes an impact

she is a vision of loveliness

walks in beauty light and wisdom

I know a woman

whose friendship is treasured; she brightens the spirits

of all who know her; her worth immeasurable

her works, great to behold

I know a woman

   what priceless joy
